December 6, 2024: The Mountain West Championship Game between #10 Boise State and #24 UNLV capped an incredible year for the Broncos with a dominating 21-7 victory in a game that was never in doubt on the way to a 6th MWC title. More importantly, the victory punched Boise State’s ticket to their first College Football Playoff.

The game also added to running back Ashton Jeanty's resume for his Heisman campaign as he added 209 rushing yards, including an electric 75 yard touchdown run. This game’s performance elevated Jeanty to fourth on the NCAA’s single season rushing list.

While Jeanty makes the most headlines, the Broncos also saw incredible performances by wide reciever Latrell Caples, who made an incredible contested catch in the endzone for the game’s first score. Quarterback Maddux Madsen was efficient throwing for 158 yards and a touchdown, but showed Jeanty isn’t the only Boise State player who can run the rock. He ran for a 14 yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter during which he seemed to levitate and stretch just across the goal line for the score.
