January 1, 2025: The Rose Bowl was the setting for one of the quarterfinal matchups in the 2024-25 College Football Playoff. It pitted the #1 Oregon Ducks against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The regular season matchup between these two teams had been a classic and nobody was prepared for the beatdown Ohio State had in store to avenge the earlier loss.

Leading 24 - 0 midway through the second quarter, the Buckeyes lined up for a 1st and 10 from their own 34 yard line. They had scored on a long pass play less than two minutes earlier, but Ohio State had more fireworks in store.

TreVeyon Henderson took the handoff, followed his blocks on an interior run, veered right to the sideline, and took it 66 yards untouched for a touchdown. An extra point later and the Buckeyes were up a whopping 31 - 0.

It was the longest run on a big day for Henderson who finished with 94 yards rushing and two touchdowns on just 8 carries, plus another 3 catches for 20 yards.
