September 19, 2015: Ole Miss visited Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa for an early season Top 15 matchup of undefeated teams. Few could expect the fireworks that would emerge or the legendary play it would produce.

With a 17-10 lead shortly into the 3rd quarter, Ole Miss faced a 3rd and 1 on their own end of the field. The play began as a worst case scenario for the Rebels. The shotgun snap went high and off the hands of quarterback Chad Kelly just as Bama brought a blitz. Kelly ended up with his back to the defense as he tried to handle the snap, three Tide defenders bearing down.

Kelly managed to turn and, seeing the pressure, hurled a high, arcing pass blindly downfield.

Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell went up for the jump ball, blanked by two defenders. It went off his hands, then off the helmet of Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, and into the waiting hands of Quincy Adeboyejo who then sprinted to the endzone for the 66-yard touchdown.

The Rebels would go on to upset #2 Alabama 43-37 and the “Tip Six” would live forever in the minds of college football fans everywhere.
