October 22, 2016: Penn State was a 19.5-point home underdog in this matchup against #2 Ohio State that would come to be legendary.

Penn State was down early but had scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to make it a one score game. But the Buckeye offense couldn’t be stopped forever and drove the field with just over four minutes remaining and up 21–17. Ohio State was held to a fourth-down-and-seven at the 31-yard line and lined up for a 45-yard field goal attempt that would have likely put the game out of reach for the home team.

However, the kick was blocked by safety Marcus Allen, who leapt into the path of the kick. The ball bounced three times then into the hands of cornerback Grant Haley, who sped 71 yards for a Penn State touchdown. Penn State would hold the lead and come out on top, 24–21.

The final play would be dubbed the “Block Six” and remains one of the most legendary plays in Nittany Lion football lore.
